Feeling With Love.
I, Kwan Yin, do greet you now in the very sensation of Love Divine. The following is an exercise which will provide you with an opportunity to experience yourself in a new manner. Open your awareness to this new perspective and you will be amazingly rewarded.
- Select a small object to observe. Choose one which you can hold easily in your hands. Have with you something on which to write and something to write with.
- Placing the object before you observe it in detail. Turn it as necessary to view it from different angles, different perspectives. Write down the thoughts which come up about the object.
- Now pick up the object and feel its structure, its shape with your hands. Write down the description of how it feels. Place the object against your cheek, against your upper arm. Record your sensations on the paper.
- Next think of a situation you recently experienced. It does not matter what occurred, only the fact that you remember it well, is important. Think about the situation and write down what you remember about it. See it as a hologram and turn it around, look at it from different angles, think about it from different perspectives. Write down these thoughts. When you have exhausted the possibilities, then move on to the next step.
- Remember the situation again, only this time remember the emotions you experienced concerning the situation. As you reconsider the scene write down any emotions you have had in reference to the situation.
- For our next step you will take this same situation and hold it in your memory. As you imagine the scene before you, project from your heart chakra an envelope of feeling. Imagine your feeling nature as extending out from you and enveloping the situation. Now the situation is within your feeling nature. As you remember the situation, try not to think in terms of it, but, rather, try and feel it in much the same manner as you felt the object you held in your hand earlier. Imagine this scene is like a hologram with which you can turn as you get the feel of each aspect. It is important to not reduce this part of the exercise to merely thinking about feeling it. Stay very conscious of feeling the nuances and not thinking about them. Write these impressions down on your sheet of paper.
- Once you have completed the former steps, once again look at the situation. In this viewing, though, do so ithout having an opinion about the scene. Clear all opinions, all emotions about the situation, from this viewing. Look only for the "nuts and bolts" of what happened. Move your attention within the memory and look around for all the sensory input, feeling input which is contained in the memory of the situation. Write this down.
- Finally, write down what you perceive is the whole feeling of the situation without judgmentabout the situation itself, or any aspect of the situation. This may stretch you a bit, but it is worth it!
Bring what you discovered about this situation and your involvement with it to class and share your insights with one another.
